Atlas uses only top quality materials and components. Our batteries are encased in aluminum and feature stainless steel components making them practically indestructible and corrosion-free. Even if the case gets damaged, the battery will remain protected and we can easily replace the case.
We use CALB, factory tested and approved, prismatic cells in our battery packs. Our Battery Management System is tested to UL 508, and listed by a Nationally Recognized Test Lab and our cells have passed tough UN38.3 safety tests.
Atlas batteries are extremely reliable, however, if the unforeseen happens, they can be repaired onboard meaning you won’t have to pull into port to wait for a replacement and lose valuable work time. We can set you up with a parts package to keep onboard.
Why use Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries? The batteries, like others, are rechargeable, but made with lithium iron phosphate as the cathode material providing superior thermal and chemical stability–that means it is a very safe product. The phosphate chemistry provides long cycle life and the battery itself has a high energy density and low operating voltage. Low cost, low toxicity, long-term stability, and high performance, makes this battery perfect for keeping your vessel operating and your voyage on schedule.
